DUPR (Doubles):  5.7
PaddleJOOLA Collin Johns Scorpeus CFS 16

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Lacy Schneemann grew up in San Angelo, Texas, playing basketball, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, softball, and tennis.  While studying at USC, she played on the club tennis team and was captain for two years.  In 2015, she started playing pickleball with her father.  She got fully into pickleball in 2021, and credits her time as a tennis player to her pickleball success. Lacy worked for Boeing as an aerospace engineer in Los Angeles until mid 2023, while also competing in professional pickleball full-time.

Lacy plays in Major League Pickleball (MLP) as a member of the Chicago Slice, along with Ben and Jessie.  In December 2024, they brought the heat to the MLP Premier Season 2 Finals in San Clemente, California.  Facing off against the Orlando Squeeze, the Chicago Slice found themselves down 0-2 after the first two games of the four-game match.  The pressure was on, but Ben made a bold move, placing Lacy and fellow-teammate Erik Lange in the next mixed doubles game.  This was a nail-biting, must-win situation for the Slice, and Lacy and Erik rose to the occasion in breathtaking fashion.  Their dynamic teamwork and Lacy's uncanny backhand counters widely considered one of the best in the MLP kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.  With grit and determination, Lacy and Erik clawed their way back, winning the crucial mixed doubles match and setting the stage for a thrilling comeback.  The momentum shifted, and the Slice went on to dominate the rest of the match, eventually forcing a "Dreambreaker" tiebreaker game.  This high-pressure, winner-takes-all showdown saw Lacy shine once again, showcasing her exceptional skills and composure.  In the end, the Chicago Slice emerged victorious, claiming the MLP Premier Season 2 championship title.  Lacy's performance throughout the finals cements her reputation as a top contender in the MLP!

Irina Tereschenko has been playing and coaching racquet sports for over 20 years (a veteran, one might say), and is one of the top-ranked women’s professional pickleball players in the world in all three divisions.  She is also known as SickTrx_Irina.

Irina is originally from Russia, but moved to Texas to pursue a college tennis scholarship. She played #1 in singles and doubles for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and completed both an undergraduate degree in Advertising and a graduate degree in Sport Management. After college, Irina worked with high-performance juniors at the Gorin Tennis Academy and coached Division 1 college tennis at Texas Tech University and the University of Washington. She continues to pursue her academic career as an adjunct lecturer at the School of Professional Advancement at Tulane and as a research assistant at the University of Washington's Center for Leadership in Athletics. But don’t call her “prof,” Irina wants you to know that it is fellow pickleball pro, Corrine Carr, who actually has a Ph.D and is a real professor— not her!

Irina admits that her pickleball journey has been pretty surreal, and credits pickleball with giving her the opportunity to meet amazing people, as well as help grow the sport in North America, Asia, and Europe. She looks forward to many more adventures to come!

Off the pickleball court, Irina still has quite a bit of energy. Snowboarding, kiteboarding, camping, and surfing are some of her passions. She is known for her off-the-wall sense of humor and is not afraid to get emotional while reading Russian poetry and fiction classics.

Irina's sponsors include Paddletek.

COLLIN JOHNS

MLP TeamColumbus Sliders
DUPR (Doubles)6.6
PaddleJOOLA Collin Johns Scorpeus CFS 16

Collin Johns made his professional pickleball debut at the 2019 US Open, where he made the semifinals in men’s pro singles. Over the course of the following year, he quickly climbed to the Top 10 in both divisions. He is the regular doubles partner of his younger brother, Ben Johns, with their partnership yielding over 25 professional titles to date.

Collin attributes his success to his background in tennis, table tennis, and baseball; and the instruction he received from Ben. His favorite shots are his reset block and forehand dink, which he adapted from his previous experiences in other racquet sports. Collin appreciates what he calls “the uniquely unsolved nature of the technique and strategy that is currently evolving in pickleball.”

Collin grew up in Laytonsville, Maryland, and is the eldest of the Johns siblings. Prior to pickleball, he competed at the professional level in tennis for five years, attaining a career-high ATP ranking of #978 in singles and #939 in doubles. Following professional tennis, he coached collegiate tennis for Florida Gulf Coast University, where the team won the 2019 Atlantic Sun Conference division title.

From May 2019 - December 2021, Collin was the full-time Head Racquets Professional at Baltimore Country Club, where he coached tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis. In 2022, Collin moved to the Austin Pickle Ranch in Austin, Texas, where he is devoting his energy to training professionally. Collin serves on the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Board of Directors and contributes to PPR as a coach developer and columnist. He certifies professionals around the country, and his work has been featured in publications such as Pickleball Magazine and the PPR Symposium. In addition to traveling as a pro athlete, Collins is the co-owner and founder of Pickleball 360 (an instructional video subscription service) along with Dekel Bar. Off-court, he enjoys reading, writing, chess, and table tennis.

JACK MUNRO

Now a sophomore in economics at The University of Texas at Austin, Jack recently secured a three-year deal with Major League Pickleball, signaling a turning point in his career.

ERIK PAILET

MLP TeamCalifornia BLQK Bears
DUPR (Doubles):  6.5
Paddle:  Senox Viper 16MM

Born and raised in Burbank, California, Erik Pailet grew up playing football and basketball at Burbank High School. In 2019, friends introduced him to pickleball at college, and he was immediately hooked. He quickly connected with his local community, who welcomed him with open arms. Erik now plays in Major League Pickleball as a member of his home-state team, the California BLQK Bears. Beyond the court, he holds an Accounting degree from California State University, Northridge, and enjoys playing golf in his spare time.

Erik evangelizes calculating risks and rewards in pickleball, focusing on shots with a positive "expected value" (EV) those that, on average, lead to more points than lost. Conversely, he teaches avoiding EV-negative shots that could hand momentum to the other team. However, there's a twist! When a team is significantly ahead, a well-placed risky shot, like an unexpected speedup on a low "yellow" ball, can be surprisingly effective, breaking the opponent's rhythm and throwing them off their game!

Erik's sponsors include Senox Sports.
